
A Beautiful Mind is a film from 2001 about mathematician John Nash. He is brilliant, but under a lot of pressure to publish new theories. Nash is invited at the Pentagon to crack Russian codes, which enables him to show his full potential. However, Nash get obsessed with his job an develops a paranoid disorder. After a while it turns out that he is schizophrenic and most work for the Pentagon has never existed. A long struggle with his delusions follows.
The beautiful music was composed by James Horner. This arrangement depicts the wonderful world of mathematics and the love between Nash and his wife, but also his delusions and the conflict reality and madness.
